FAR part 43 prescribes rules governing the maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, and alteration of any. Foreign-registered Military aircraft used in common carriage or carriage of mail. This part applies to all life-limited parts that are removed from a non-certificated product for commercial use.

Each person performing an inspection required by FAR parts 91, 125, or 135, shall: Not performed the inspection in accordance with the instructions and procedures set forth in the inspection program for the aircraft being inspected. Perform an inspection required by Part 91 on a rotorcraft without using the maintenance manual or instructions for continued airworthiness of the manufacturer.
