During normal operation, low-pressure is supplied to the engine fuel system by: Gravity feed. Ram vent pressure. The boost pump. Suction feed. Crossfeed operation is authorized: For single-engine operation and fuel balancing during two engine operation. For single-engine operation only. When both boost pumps on one side fail. For takeoff and climbout. Boost pump failure is indicated by: Zero-fuel flow and the fuel pressure gage. L/R fuel pressure gage, L/R ENG FUEL PRESS annunciator, MASTER CAUTION light, and warning horn. Automatic crossfeed valve opening and warning horn. AUX FUEL PUMP light illumination. Suction feed may be used (within limitations) to supply fuel to an engine: When the engine-driven fuel pump fails. For takeoff and climbout. When the transfer pump fails. When both boost pumps fail on one side. The following recommendation applies to operation with aviation gasoline: The lowest available octane should be used. High-octane fuels are prohibited. It cannot be mixed with recommended fuels. It cannot be used in the suction feed mode of operation. Operation of the engine without boost pumps is limited to: 10 hours of operation during each TBO. 150 hours of operation during each TBO. Use with recommended fuels only. 10 hours of operation before the engine-driven fuel pump must be replaced or overhauled. The use of aviation gasoline is limited to: 10 hours of operation during each TBO. 100 hours of operation during each TBO. 150 hours of operation during each TBO. 200 hours of operation during each TBO. The Cheyenne should be filled to capacity by filling: The tips and then the nacelles. The nacelles and then the tips. From the tips only. The tanks in any sequence. |
