Unir: how does our population change?. population is the number of people who live in an area or country. in a country, the population isn't the same in all areas. in rural areas there are few living in an area: this means there is low population density. lots of people live and work in urban areas, such as cities. There are a lot of people living in an area: this means there is high population density. the population can grow or get smaller. babies are born and people die. when there are more births than deaths, the population grow. when there are more deaths than births, the population gets smaller.

Unir: The population also changes because of migration. Emigrants leave their countrt to live or work. People who come to your country to live or work are inmigrants. We can add the number of immigrants and subtract the number of emigrants to see if the population is growing or gettins smaller.
